Brauerei Spezial is Bamberg's other legendary Rauchbier producer, offering a subtler, more delicate smokiness than Schlenkerla. Founded in 1536, Spezial malts its own grain and smokes it over beechwood on-site, maintaining complete control over its ancient process.
