Maris Otter is a heritage English winter barley variety developed in 1966 by Dr. G.D.H. Bell. Prized for its complex, biscuity flavor and excellent extract, it is the premium base malt for English ales, bitters, and stouts. Many craft brewers consider it the finest pale malt available.
