Pale to very pale gold, 3-5 SRM. Clear to slightly hazy. White head with good retention. Lighter than expected for a smoked beer.

An ancient beer style from the Polish city of Grodzisk (German: Grätzer), brewed since the medieval period using oak-smoked wheat malt. The Grodzisk brewery was a major exporter in the 19th-20th centuries. Production ceased in 1993. The style was revived by Polish craft brewers and international enthusiasts in the 2000s-2010s.
