Haze Craze
The early 2010s-present trend toward intentionally hazy, turbid beers, led by New England-style IPAs. Haze results from suspended yeast, protein-polyphenol interactions, dry hop particles, and flour/oat additions. Once considered a defect, haze became a defining quality signaling juicy, soft hop character.
