Histoire

One of England's oldest and most traditional beer styles, predating both IPA and porter. Historically the everyday working-class pub beer, brewed in light (dark) and light (pale) versions. The dark mild was dominant in the Midlands and North of England. Declined significantly after WWII but survives through CAMRA preservation efforts.
