História

A traditional Bavarian serving style rather than a distinct recipe style — Kellerbier means 'cellar beer,' referring to beer served directly from the lagering tank without filtering or pasteurizing. The Franconian tradition of Zwickelbier and Kellerbier is centuries old. Revived interest in the 2000s-2010s as craft brewers and traditional Bavarian restaurants emphasized fresh, unfiltered lager.
