New England IPA
On this page
Visão Geral
Pioneered around 2015 in Vermont and Massachusetts by The Alchemist, Treehouse, and Lawson's Finest Liquids, this hazy IPA turned the style toward soft texture and intense fruit. Its tropical, juicy flavours and smooth, creamy body sit behind a signature unfiltered, cloudy appearance, with bitterness kept low at 25 to 60 IBU against 6.0 to 9.0 percent alcohol and a pale 3 to 7 SRM colour. Initially controversial, the approach became the fastest-growing craft trend of the late 2010s. The Alchemist Heady Topper, Treehouse Julius, and Lawson's Sip of Sunshine are defining examples. BJCP records it as 21B.
