A very dark, moderately strong, fairly dry, stout with prominent roast flavors. Higher in alcohol and bitterness than a standard dry stout.

Aroma

Moderate to strong roasted grain and coffee aroma with dark chocolate. Low to moderate earthy or herbal hop aroma. Low fruity esters. Higher alcohol character may be present. Assertive and dry.

Very dark brown to black, 30-40 SRM. Clear. Tan to dark brown head with moderate to good retention.

Moderate to strong roasted grain, coffee, and dark chocolate flavor. Higher bitterness than standard stout. Low fruity esters. Dry, bitter finish. More intense than Irish Stout.
