A fuller-bodied black beer with a bolder roasted flavor than Irish Stout. More intense and complex, and a wider range of roasted grain flavors.
Aroma
Strong roasted grain, coffee, and dark chocolate aroma with a slightly burnt quality. Low to moderate hop aroma. Clean fermentation. More intense and complex than standard Irish Stout. Dry and assertive.

Black to very dark brown, opaque. Tan to brown head with good retention. More opaque and darker than standard Irish Stout.
Lezzet
Strong roasted grain, coffee, and dark chocolate flavor with a slightly burnt edge. High bitterness. Dry, bitter finish. More intense and complex than Irish Stout.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth and full compared to standard Irish Stout. Firm bitterness without harshness.

A stronger, more intense version of the Irish Stout tradition, historically brewed for export. Guinness Foreign Extra Stout and Murphy's Extra Stout are primary examples. Beamish & Crawford in Cork also produces in this tradition. Stronger and more bitter than the standard draught stout.
