Beer Culture

Beer Garden

An outdoor drinking area, originating in 19th-century Bavaria where breweries planted chestnut trees above their underground lagering cellars to shade and cool the ground. Traditional German beer gardens allow guests to bring their own food. The concept has spread worldwide as a casual, communal outdoor drinking culture.
