Beer History

Trappist Beer

Beer brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery under the supervision of the monastic community. Only 14 monasteries worldwide (11 in Belgium and the Netherlands) hold the 'Authentic Trappist Product' designation. Trappist ales are renowned for their complex, bottle-conditioned Belgian styles including dubbel, tripel, and quadrupel.
