A dark, complex, very strong Belgian ale with a delicious blend of malt richness, dark fruit flavors, and spicy elements. The strongest of the Trappist styles.

Very complex, rich aroma with dark dried fruit (raisin, fig, plum), caramel, chocolate, and spice. Moderate to strong Belgian yeast esters and phenols. Moderate alcohol warmth. Low hop aroma. Deeply inviting.

Deep amber to dark brown, 12-22 SRM. Clear to slightly hazy. Off-white to tan head with good retention.
