Tổng quan

Pale where most bocks are dark, this style developed in the twentieth century as a strong, pale counterpart to the Dunkles Bock. It marries Bock strength with Munich Helles malt character, and its hop presence is generally more apparent than in other bocks, aiding a nicely attenuated, drinkable finish. Strength runs 6.3 to 7.4 percent alcohol with 23 to 35 IBU and a 6 to 11 SRM colour, and it is often released in spring as a Maibock. Hofbräu Maibock, Ayinger Maibock, Einbecker Mai-Ur-Bock, and Paulaner Helles Bock are representative. BJCP files it as 4C.
